Cloud Expo: Telx Launches Cloud Connection Centers
Telx the leading interconnection and data center provider launched today its new Cloud Connection Centers, an innovative new way for cloud service providers to securely connect their infrastructures, leveraging Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure IaaS and application uptime. Telx also announced that SoftLayer Technologies, a global provider of on-demand Cloud and Dedicated hosting, has joined the Telx cloudXchange. The Telx cloudXchange is a community of cloud service providers, carrier networks and Enterprise end-users who can connect quickly and securely in any Cloud Connection Center.
CEO of Telx, Eric Shepcaro, explains: “Telx has enjoyed a long and successful engagement with SoftLayer, as the company expanded its network footprint across several major U.S. markets leveraging our Interconnection services. This partnership is a natural extension of that relationship, and benefits both companies as well as our Enterprise customer base, who continue to consume cloud-based services. Working with SoftLayer helps us build a strong community of interest for our new Cloud Connection Centers, while offering our customers direct access to the industry-leading mix of SoftLayer’s services.”
This new partnership helps Telx offer its 880+ customers within its Cloud Connection Centers direct access to SoftLayer’s industry-leading Cloud and Dedicated Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions.
